Coryn's First Meeting W/Sariah

Sariah smiled, appreciating Coryn's perspective. "That doesn't sound naive, foolish, or arrogant at all," she replied. "In fact, it shows a strong sense of leadership and emotional intelligence. Viewing leadership as a form of service and valuing relationships are key aspects of creating a cohesive and motivated team."

She paused to take a sip of her tea before continuing. "Welcoming conflict and seeing it as an opportunity for growth and deeper relationships is a healthy approach. It indicates that you are open to feedback and willing to engage in meaningful dialogue, which can only benefit the crew."

She made another note on her PADD. "Thank you for sharing that, Coryn. It gives me a lot of confidence in your leadership style and how you'll handle the dynamics aboard the Crusher. Is there anything specific you want to discuss or address before we conclude this evaluation?"

Coryn shook his head, “I think that’s all I have.”

Sariah nodded, setting her PADD aside. "Thank you for your openness, Coryn. I look forward to working with you and the rest of the crew. If anything comes up or if you need to talk about anything, my door is always open."

Coryn stood offering a genuine smile. "Thank you, Sariah. I appreciate your insights and your time. Enjoy settling in. We’ll be seeing plenty of each other very soon. Welcome aboard."

Sariah stood up as well, returning a warm smile. "I'll let you get back to settling in. I'm sure there's plenty more to prepare for before we set off. I'll be around if you need anything."
With that, Sariah exited the ready room, leaving Coryn to his thoughts and preparations for the journey ahead.
